Rounds 3 & 4 Set For Val Verde Fairgrounds

Murrieta, CA – The 2006 Monsters of Destruction National Monster Truck Series is headed to Del Rio, Texas for Rounds 3 & 4 of the 2006 season.  A few changes have been made in the line-up from Rounds 1 & 2.  Dan Runte will be taking the place of Rick Long in the #88 Bigfoot and Kelvin Ramer will be making his 2006 debut in the #18 Natural High.

Rounds 3 & 4 will feature both Straight Line Drags and Chicago Style Racing for the Obstacle Course portion of the event.  Currently leading the Point Standings in Straight Line Drags is the #01 Dragon Slayer by one point over Dan Patrick and the #50 Samson.  Patrick has a seven point lead over the #95 Obsession and #05 Bigfoot of Rick Long in Obstacle Course Racing.

Rounding out the field of competitors for Rounds 3 & 4 will be the 2005 series champion Kreg Christensen in the #01 Dragon Slayer, Rick Swanson in the #95 Obsession, Dan Patrick in the #50 Samson and Paul Jensen in the #02 Spider-Man.

Rounds 3 & 4 are sponsored locally by Ram Country Family Dealerships, Arc Rite Truck Accessories, Budweiser and AmeriGas.  Ticket outlets include Del Tex RV Repair and Accessories, Ramada Limited, Sam’s Boot Corral and Arc Rite Truck Accessories.  Tickets are $10.00 for children 3 years old to 12 years old and $15.00 for adults 13 years old and up.  Tickets increase $2.00 day of show.

Gates open at 5:30pm on both Friday and Saturday.  The MOD Party in the Pits will take place from 6pm to 7pm with Opening Ceremonies at 7:30pm.
